You will influence the development of global strategies and marketing programmes through analysis and understanding of macro and socio-economic trends and the key competitors.

You will lead and recommend all aspects of brand planning and set up market research studies for tracking, reporting and contextualising global brand performance. Proven insight experience within innovation and trends studies is essential as well as experience of conducting research in the US and Asian markets.

Purpose of Job

Generate and communicate customer insight to shape product and service development and ensure effective marketing communications

Promote the use of customer insight throughout all areas of the business in order to transform the client into to a customer centric organisation

Delivers and communicates competitor insights and market trends from the luxury market to key stakeholders

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Develops and delivers customer research programmes (both qualitative and quantitative) to inform product and service proposition development

Manages customer research programmes to measure effectiveness and customer attitudes to marketing communications

Delivers customer research programmes for internal customers e.g. the Marketing/Digital team, the Regional Marketing teams and the Service Concepting team

Sets and defines customer targets for new product and service development to feed into the TPO (Total Product Offering) organisation

Leads competitor benchmarking and market trend analysis to give greater understanding of the competitive environment, the luxury consumer and the role of technology. Clearly communicates any insight in a compelling, digestible manner.

Creates an area of expertise within the client which becomes known as the voice of the customer by delivering customer insight and analysis for all departments using all customer intelligence available

Promotes and communicates the use of customer insight within the client

Delivers regular reporting and insight on customer engagement with the current services proposition

Works with key service partners to understand customer data and is the champion of creating the holistic view of the customer using all data and intelligence available

Highlights opportunity and areas of development for improvement with regard to the current services proposition using internal and external intelligence available

Provides guidance with regard to KPI’s for service performance and customer engagement

Manages external market research agency to ensure all market research is delivered on time and within budget with full stakeholder endorsement.

Writes market research briefs, sets scope and budget for each market research programme

Manages 1 direct report – Services Analyst

Experience and Qualifications Required

Strong educational background - likely to be degree educated

Proven record of managing and delivering customer research programmes (both quantitative and qualitative research)

Proven track record of analytical capability

Experience in line management and influencing cross functional teams

Experience in the luxury market is desirable but not essential

Experience in project management

Core Competencies

Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to interpret and communicate complex data into meaningful, relevant insights
