Sales Manager

Location – Head office, South London

Salary - £40 000 pa basic plus bonus and excellent company benefits

Our client is looking to recruit a new Sales Manager to develop their existing client base as well as securing new business opportunities.

As a key member of the senior management team, this person will lead the sales team providing hands on leadership and direction, motivating and energizing the team to increase performance levels.

The marketing element of the role will focus on our digital marketing strategy to include digital marketing campaigns, other areas of marketing include brochure production, advertising and PR are responsibilities of the general Marketing Department.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for managing the day-to-day sales and direct marketing campaigns of the business

Increasing lead generation and conversion rates throughout the sales department

Working with senior management, to provide line management for the sales and sales support departments to motivate and develop the teams

To ensure smooth working practices between sales, marketing and the rest of the organization

Responsibility for customer acquisition, retention and development

Dealing with client complaints before they escalate

Monitor sales team performance and ensure they are performing to standard and developing an effective sales strategy to ensure optimum output from the team

Have a hands on approach to ensure that members of the team are coping with their workload and working as effectively as possible, and if necessary take over any enquiries on an ad hoc basis

Propose, develop and execute effective direct marketing campaigns in support of company sales objectives, reporting results to the board

Drive improvements to the online customer experience, including website copy

Interpersonal Skills:

Commercially astute, sales driven, professional with a track record of success gained, ideally, in a luxury product environment

Must have a can do attitude and approach, think innovatively and see challenges and problem solving as a personal motivator

Positive, energetic, commercial and results focused approach

Engaging and personable, an excellent communicator who has achieved success personally and through challenging and empowering team

Ability to develop effective customer and internal relationships at all levels

Must demonstrate drive and initiative

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including copy writing

Well organized and able to prioritize

Self Starter with a hands on approach focused on achieving results

Relevant experience and Training:

Substantial proven track record in maintaining and winning business

Proven ability to manage a successful sales team

Previous experience with a luxury brand is essential, travel/hospitality industry experience is desirable but not essential

A background in digital/online marketing with experience of acquiring customers online

Project management experience with proven ability to achieve against demanding timescales
